Welcome!
Amber River is what is known as a household within the Society for Creative Anachronism. Currently all of the Amber River residents live within the eastern part of New Brunswick known in the SCA as the Shire of Lyndhaven.
Though we mainly play within the SCA, we do not limit our activites to just one group nor do we consider ourselves as a "household" in the strict sense. We are more of a small community of people with varying interests and directions. One week we may be offering service and the other we may be shooting arrows at poor defenseless archery targets. The only constant is our comradery and closeness within the group. Some people feel left out by not being included in a household, we wish you not to feel this way even though we, as a general rule, do not recruit. Please feel free to come to our open invitations or to ask to share board or camp with us, we are usually grateful for good company. (and good food!)
